Robin & Phil – Heirlooms Jewelry, Stockbridge Massachusetts

By Diane Mahoney

Before we left Stockbridge to wend our way north through the Fall leaves of the Berkshires, and then south back to Cape Cod, Gary and I stopped, for the second time, at Heirlooms Jewelry.

We went back because the previous day I’d had my eye on an unusual necklace, which I was thinking of purchasing, after Phil Coleman had told us the story behind its manufacture: the necklace, made of handcrafted sterling silver, was inspired by the art of Spanish painter Joan Miro.

I thought it was truly unique, but a bit expensive. However, before I could decide, Gary told Robin Fleet, the owner, we would take it. Robin then showed us the matching earrings and Gary immediately told her to add them too, to my protestations and before I could even catch my breath! What a true gem is Gary!!

I just had to put on the necklace and earrings, and get Gary to take my picture with Robin:

Heirloom Jewelry is definitely a MUST stop in Stockbridge, and Robin Fleet and her husband Phil Coleman are gracious, knowledgeable proprietors, and just wonderful people: we are so pleased to have met them!.
